Wireless CCTV Systems
How Wireless CCTV Systems Save Businesses Lots Of Money
There was a time when large chain stores would not have the means to monitor what the customers and staff were doing from one minute to the next. While floorwalkers were theoretically a good idea, and the walkers had relative success, it was obviously difficult for them to patrol the entire store at any given moment. Then video surveillance came into the picture, and with this new and innovative approach to security large stores and companies dramatically increased their knowledge of what was going on.
With the rising crime rates in today’s society, more and more stores and big businesses are looking to increase their level of security. Wireless CCTV cameras have been installed in many of the larger chain stores such as Wal-Mart and Macy’s, allowing the stores a chance to see exactly what was going on from minute to minute, and day to day. Wireless CCTV cameras are obviously a huge deterrent to shoplifting and other crimes.
One of the main benefits of wireless CCTV is that you can move the cameras to different locations on a temporary basis should the store or company feel that there is a particular spot in the store that is more problematic than another. Once the heat is off that location they can move the wireless CCTV camera to another spot.
Another aspect of CCTV is of course to monitor the employee: unfortunately in every organisation there are many employees that are less than honest. For this reason, many companies will install wireless CCTV cameras in common areas of the store or business and in staff rest areas, store cupboards etc, so that the actions of the employees can be monitored as well as those of the customer.
